"Now or never" from Jean-Marc Chaput

Last Saturday, October 31, I went to see Jean-Marc Chaput at Place des Arts in Montreal. The title of his lecture, "Now or never". The remarks of the conference focused on the need to act now to stop waiting after something to move forward.

In a nice way Mr. Chaput explained things in a simple way, but more important, the fact of dreaming, daring to make mistakes, get out of his comfort zone and as he said to get out of his old slippers. He presented several examples of negative attitude from teachers and those guiding our youth in the school system.
Mr. Chaput has never tried to discredit anybody, he simply tried to make us understand we have to think before acting, but to analyze to much is crippling. As he presented in its many examples, we're so paralyzed in certain situations such as construction of the CHUM,  fussy communications to manage influenza A (H1N1) and the interminable and ineffective reform school.

The approach of awareness of Mr. Chaput has certainly awakened some people and I beleieve some people dare to act now. Moreover, Mr. Chaput also said that we must sell ourselves, we must learn to sell ourselves and dare to be sold as individual. This is called "You Inc.". Is to say, we represent a value for our environment, to our society and we must believe we're good, as he said so "sacrafice" you are!

Finally, he spoke extensively of the fact that it dared to splurge and go through small successes in a row. Try to realize your dreams by step and celebrated every small victory. Self-esteem and success is built through action, experimentation, errors and help from people you ask some help. Mr. Chaput has delivered the goods very well and the 79 years man is very impressive and above all he still seems to have tons of dreams to realize which must be the source of his incredible energy.

Tell me if you think you recharge with speaker as Mr. Chaput should you?
