Take action or wait

Whatever what come up in life, we always have the opportunities to act or wait. We always choose to fight, to succeed in realizing our dreams, goals or to let others run our lives and our destiny.

Why is it so difficult to act for our own good?
Often it is through lack of energy, lack of mental energy, lack of belief and because the doubt to missed shot is larger than the certainty of success. It is a sad statement, but unfortunately the sad reality for too many people.

Life seems littered with misfortune, because we perceive challenges as misfortunes. Few of us have received an education that we do see misfortunes as normal situations, as personal growth steps, as essential events for learning to trust ourselves and not let others and events direct our life.

As life is absolutely not fair, it is quite useless to compare to anyone on this earth, and on the occasions that you get to live a happy and peacefull life. You have your life and you must appreciate the fact that you still have opportunities to change what you dislike about your life. This is not always easy, I grant you, but it's almost always possible to do better, to put energy in it and believe in yourself, even in the most desperate situations.

How to act in all circumstances?
Nothing easier, drop your ego and get help immediately. Look for people, organizations and information to help you sort out your situation.

You think this explanation is simplistic! I can guarantee you one thing, from the moment you decide to really solve your difficult situation, regardless of the situation and that you will employ competent people, your chances of finding solutions will be increased tenfold.

As you are no longer alone in your world, the burden of your situation will diminish considerably. Therefore, you'll be less stressed and you will find a great deal of energy. Never forget the pain and anxiety (stress) are the two things that reduce your energy.

The impact of waiting
It is not difficult to understand if you let things settle itself, there is little chance of seeing the problem solve by itself. The more you ignore a situation, the worse the consequences will be not to try to resolve them.

Most situations that you will face in your life are not extreme tragedies like those that people have to live facing events that destroy everything they have and kill their relatives.

If you decide to wait before you turn on to solve your difficult situations, you may put yourself in situations that have consequences for several years, consequences still more difficult to resolve and sometimes irreversible ones.

Be your own savior
Do not wait until someone discovers that you are in a difficult situation and be your own savior. Be the person who takes things in hand and put in place a team of specialists, a trusted team to resolve the situation.

You understand what I mean, approach the situation as a project, an adventure in which you have a triggering role that allows your team to help you find the most effective way to overcome your situation positively while having learned that life is less complicated with a team.

Waiting

Is it worse torture than wait? Waiting until after a medical diagnosis, waiting for a response from a future employer, to wait after a call from your future lover, waiting for a latecomer that could make you lose a golden opportunity, the aircraft, an important appointment or a place in a cinema or a restaurant.

In short, waiting is an emotion that creates anxiety that we all hate and acts instantly on our imagination. From the moment the waiting begins, a negative scenarios snaps our imagination. Whether a person is regarded as imaginative or not, our imagination is unparalleled. The wildest scenarios go through our head and invade our bodies.

The invasion of the body is real, we feel the negative effects of different scenarios that we mentally go through and worse, we forget that what we imagine, is not real, that it is only possible consequence and not the reality. In summary, we become paranoid for a short time. However, this brief moment of anguish takes a long time to unwind.

When we mean by short moments we can talk about a few seconds to a few weeks. Of course, over the long wait, the more anxiety may worsen and can become terribly difficult to bear. A number of people can not afford these waiting times without medical help and it's a disaster when it comes to such a degree of anxiety.

How to control his anguish in such cases?

Existential question you ask, of course, it is not easy to find ways that meet all cases. However, failing to find an ultimate solution or all solutions for all types of anxiety, we can certainly reduce the intensity and thereby effects.

To get there is not enough to have a positive attitude that makes the neighborhood and everyone aroud youmad . The positive attitude is definitely required, but let's be serious, pragmatic above all, it is necessary to behave consequently with our personality, otherwise we simply acting against nature and especially we do not believe for one second that this behavior will be beneficial.

What I propose is quite simple, first, take an easy approach and quick to use, I propose a solution that works beautifully for me and that is really amazingly simple and you've probably heard thousands of times, here it is:

Take a piece of paper and make three columns, one with the scenario you just imagined, the second column with the consequences of this scenario and the last column the feelings it provokes in you. Simple, very simple but really effective. First, this frees your brain simply to write and organize your thoughts, you free your mind, you do not have to think you just read.

Secondly, during the time you take this information to scribble on a piece of paper, you focus on one topic, so you avoid imagine other scenarios that would accumulate over it. At least, the risk of accumulation is significantly reduced while you exercise to put this script on paper.

Besides, it is likely that some of your negative feelings caused by this scenario is the feelings that you can hardly explain. Since writing is an exercise that is very long when compared to the thought, generally avoids unnecessarily writing and attempting to go to basics, to what is really important and relevant. The act of writing forces us to be more rational in developing these scenarios and consequences.

Have you ever tried this method ? If so, I would like to know what you think.

Facing disappointments, challenges

During our short life we are often faced with situations that do not end like we wanted. Obviously, some situations have no impact on our lives, for example, the defeat of one of your favorite sports teams, a missed appointment at the dentist, etc.

In other cases the consequences are more annoying, even more irritating. To continue here are few examples in the daily life; when you have a flat on the road and you are not able to install the spare tire, when the transit is delayed and makes you miss an important office meeting etc..

Finally, there are situations that have consequences far more serious and cause you stress quite important or very important, for example, you do not get the promotion you thought you were due, you do not you find a job for various reasons on which you have no control, the performance of your financial investments drastically affect your lifestyle and your future retirement.

All these disappointments have the particularity to pick us up from the inside, you still live such a disappointment so emotional. According to the negative consequences that you anticipate you will have an emotional reaction, not controlled, which will be confusing to a point where you will stop to eat, you will have trouble sleeping, you will feel like a failure and sometimes you get sick.

Beware, negative stress as it is extremely dangerous for your body and your mind. These disappointments are sometimes difficult to deal positively, because you do not see at the outset how you will exit and you're not positive on what the future holds because of these events.

It is imperative that as soon as possible, e.g. within a few hours, you stop fretting about possible consequences of these events. You must act immediately, I repeat, you must act quickly it's the key to deal successfully with this disappointment and the only way, to be really effective to quickly eliminate these fears. When you are in action you must focus on what you do, therefore you have less time to think and get stress on the possible negative consequences, which by the way have not yet arrived!

There is no magic potion to get through a situation, a disappointment or a difficult time in life. You just know that life is filled with opportunities that are revealed when you begin to move and you decided not to let these events take control of your life. As you've probably heard the maxim tons of times "this is not what happens to you that is important is how you react to it." Even if this maxim seems a cliche, it is the recipe to follow.
